Dot and Dab

I am looking to soundboard a wall in my house by dot and dab method and wondered if i need to pva the painted wall first 50/50 ratio and let dry? Also once the boards are secure on the wall and board joints scrim taped how do you deal with the joints down the sides of the wall and ceiling? Do i have to joint tape them and if so how?

you will be making a cavity in the wall that will carry sound like a hi fi speaker

You should batton the wall with 3x2 and insulate with rockwool and then screw the plasterboards to it, fibretape the joints and if there are any gaps along the corners just fibretape them flat on the board. And then you skim over the lot or if you cant do that just joint em with filler.
