dot and dab

is it ok to dot and dab on to stone..... as the people have had a conservertory built. do i need to treat the stone first. cheers

Yeah its fine mate plenty of mechanical key from the stone, make sure its not too dusty though, if it is then kill with weak pva mix first

rich i always thought stone was rubbish for a key cause they can be smooth, would you add a key for render mate?

well if its very large face stone then it might be wise to bond it/wba before hand but usually there are enough natural defects to provide a good key.

You need to go see the job and use your own judgement really
