does fibre board have asbrstos in it?

Come across this alot recently, fiberboard ceilings with wooden battons over joints.. does anyone know if yhis stuff has asbestos in it?

Surely anything that's after 90s shouldn't have asbestos in it...

If you unsure get it tested sure someone said that they can get it tested for £30 if you send it in to the lab personally
 
this board is called tintest board, also known as essex board it was manufactored at the airscrew wayroc factory at marks tey essex.
it was popular on the first floor ceilings of council housing and ceiling and walls of prefabs.
it can not hold it shape so it needs to come down and be replaced with a plasterboard ceiling .
it is just a pressed fibre board ,no danger.
 
I spent one year in the early 80's pulling down and replacing these but they had been used on first floor as well. They either come down easy or a handful at a time. I really enjoyed that year :RpS_sneaky:
