God rid of decking and put in a patio. as I said had problems with rats .

What's in neighbours garden. I had em coming from ivy in next doors in old house. They were getting food that had fell out of rabbits cage

They've gone to other end of garden and under the shed. I got one in a trap . And put some poison under it . I've got old people all round me and the silly old duffers feed the birds .seagulls .and foxes.and badgers.

Old coulple I do work for got a bird feeder
Attracted rats even in day time

They Did not get rid of feeder
I paved them a patio circle with the feeder centre
They were happy sweep up the falling bird seed instead

Makes sense, rats can be a real problem with decking since they like the space underneath. A patio is a cleaner, lower-maintenance option.
