I've worked at enty of tin pot firms in Manchester that'll tell you to dab with what's there on refurbs rather than buy a few more adhesive

I worked for one guy. Big house . He stuck 100mm kingspan to garage walls joining house . Can't remember how but I know he siliconed boards to kingspan .

Secondly, if you are told whoever is in charge to use the wrong materials either get it in writing or make sure you have a witness to the discussion and make sure you tell them it’s wrong. board finish isn't just exclusively for plasterboards, (even though the name of it suggests that it is) it's suitable for all low suction backgrounds which is what plasterboard is....board finish sets a little bit quicker than multi.
