'Fraid I'm going to have to side with Dollar on this, had several like this recently, Love one "I thought you were a friend and I'm feeling let down as you haven't returned my calls - after 2 30+ mins going round the circle with him - told him break it out and see what you,ve got. (Very nice daughter though and its her place, yes I'll do the job!)
They seem to think I work in an office and can see them or do their job asap. Got one at the moment, impatient, thinks its quick then delay-"we're in Switzerland/France", text on Friday "the tiler is in on Monday" (he'd already rung me about the job as he was getting hurry and wasn't listening to his advice)
So I plan/expect to do my bit this week - call this morning, "tilers got covid, weeks delay" - well it might be more for my bit. I haven't even given her a firm quotation yet, its a bloody tricky job and she just going on my budget guessimate.

A budget guesstimate is a strange way to conduct business. Very wooly , no wonder they don't know how to proceed. What's wrong with just having a look, giving them a price and if their happy with paying that giving them an approximate start date. Call me old fashioned if you like .

So you book in a years worth of work from different, many, different customers, take a " booking fee from them all then don's answer your phone or return messages ? You stated a while back that you have many more blocked contacts in your phone than live ones. If that's all true your a F*****g disgrace !
