Cracking UP

Hello

Done job last week, old muti plaster was all loose on old sand cement wall so scraped off loose (most of wall) .

Sealed with pva 24hr before and again just before i skimmed it . (stronger pva mix before i skim)

Now i've had slight cracking before this generally is solved after using bit more water a couple more trowels till its set.

This time it kept cracking cobwebs like ?

I got it down eventually but a fair few trowel an a lot of water?

Any pointers ?? Cheers

What I would do is pva then carlite bonding thin coat that takes the dryness out of the old sand cement

Funny thing pva , you would think that once its sealed thats that . I put a thin one on first , let that dry ,then another and a third one before you plaster . Problem with two pva's is its still too porous

Afterward in hinse sight I though yeah maybe some of that bond it would have sorted that out .

In honesty the wall come out alright, but shouldn't be having to put one wall on only troweling the crazing back every 5 minutes till it's set ,

I just feel sorry for the painter, nah actually **** the painter
