same job as my last thread (WOW! Some people are ******)

Got there this morning started getting set up to knock the last bit of render off and theres a guy in the pub garden he shouted me and said "who gave you permision to put the scaffolding up?" i told him the owner of the house. He said im from the council, it all needs to come down!!! the woman from the pub phoned them saying it was a H&S hazard!! She told the scaffolder he was okay to put a pole in the pub garden before he did it! we spent about an hour arguing with him trying to come up with a solution then the tenant of the house heard us, lol she came out kicking off with the woman in the pub! but i mean this was funny as ****! i thought they were going to start kicking the s**t out of each other. the guy from the council seperated the argument and everything calmed down a bit. and he still wanted the scaffold down. after another 30 mins of phone calls to the owner of the house, scaffolder etc. we settled on taking the pole that was in her garden down when we wasnt working and putting it back up when we are working! but now the scaffolding shakes like ****!

sounds like you are on a looser there. i would tell the house owner to sort the problem out with the publician, then i would return to site with half of the money upfront.

ask yourself jb do you really need this job ,all this aggro, hassle, arguing etc and now the scaffold is shaking, she sounds like the type of person who after you have gone for the day she will damage her own car and sue you, it can only get worse more lies/accusations , you dont need it ,if i was you i would get in touch with the person who gave you the job be polite , positive explain your misgivings but you cant carry on ,once you have done this you will feel better no guilty consience, but still there for any future work, then i would walk off the job jb and walk as fast as you can ignoring any insults etc, this can only get worse, walk jb walk now like the wind go ,so anyhooo thats what i would do all best hector.

I take it u had to remove a standard (upright) out of the garden, council shouldnt tel you to touch scaffold.esp if she dnt own the pub neither have the right and that tube is there for a reason.some people have nothing better to do the goverment sponging T***s.feel for you

There's no uprights in the pub garden it's just one pole on an angle to keep the scaffold still because he couldn't secure it to the wall cause it's being rendered. I'd post a picture but don't know how.

Thatl be a raker then thats all well and gud as long as no heavey traffic or strong winds.they not there to make the scaffold pretty,i was a scaff before my plaster days,ul be amazd what people take out thinking its ok!lol.hope you have better luck when rendering

tell that jumped up **** from council that YOU CANT touch or alter the scaffoled etc cos it breaches h&s and if u remove the pole it could fall down and breach H&S so tell him to naff of big time lol
