combe effect in artex

Hi Lads got some ceilings to skim combe effect artex.Done plenty of skiming over the artex that needs scraping back,I just wanted some views wether be best to bond these ceilings out first and skim or a couple of thick finish over them would come out fine.Thanks in advance Matt. ???

9/10 They dont need a scrape just use wba and give the 1 coat of plaster an extra 15 mins before you top coat it will go nice and flat .
