hi lads have got some work chasing out i know bond it out cut it back and the edges especialy when you skim on top of it should i do 2 coats of skim or am i wasting my time and just do 1 coat of skim thanx

2 coats of skim or you can try mixing bonding/skim 50/50 let it pick up and give it one coat of multi

I always cut back if using a backing coat but with one coat plaster no need.

If you use bonding it tends to shrink back anyhow giving a recess to skim in.

i do this, well faster but the little bits in it can be a pain to blend in sometimes
