Im struggling to see detail when flattening off skimming. My work has got worse as when plaster dries their are now about 5 imperfections on average. Can anyone help? Is it just my vision needing seeing too?

I once heard off a old timer that said you can correct this problem by visiting something he called a optican ,don't know if it's just a myth but a nice old story

Its frustrating I finish job come back when its dry and bam in not happy with it I just keep missing them.

Best thing I'd prescribe for this is a few scoops of Easifill

I use either a marshalltown 13inch or a marshalltown 16inch I can't use easy fill cos it feels like cheating to me. Every now and then but not all the time.

I've noticed I keep thinking to myself its too dark in here you know what I mean. But in starting to think its me.

I'm having the same problem. My mate didn't have the heart to tell me until I asked about my finish. I bought cheap £2 reading glasses and wear them just to trowel up. Old age creeping in I think
