Can plastering walls, indoors, be done in any weather?

Silly question, but i am not a plasterer and haven't got the foggiest!
(obviously work cannot be when there is torrential rain or extreme weather)
One plasterer tells me, he has to wait for warm weather otherwise it will not work.
Another plasterer tells me, yes, he can book the job, whatever the weather.

Who do I believe?

surely this is just mashed up communication with the punter and the 1st plasterer? either shes said its a shell with no windows, so matey doesnt wanna be laying up in 0 degree temps or shes said 'rendering' not realising? or maybe matey just got the impression it was all outside render? punters can be hard work when they think they know what they want but dont actually, she might well have just said 'well its 2 external walls' meaning inside but mateys took thats as outside

Plastering does depend on the weather. If it's cold and damp it will go off more slowly, and you'll spend more time sitting around. If it's warm and dry it may go off too quickly and even crack. You can buy additives to either slow or down or speed it up.

Heyy Chris, I sent him photos, and he was in the house, showed the walls that need plastering. We did look at the walls outside but it was not his area of work. I booked him in to do the inside walls, but he kept cancelling due to rainy days. (last spring).
Now found another plasterer, who has no problem doing the plaster regardless of rain outside. He probably wondered why I asked.

Thank you all for your help. Much appreciated.

I reckon your start date was getting pushed back because he was getting behind on another job due to rainy days. This happens all the time in the real world. Start dates are dependent on other factors, not set in stone.
