The Lake Governor
Can you believe it last week first coat rendering on the hottest day of the year so far, today wanted to top coat it and just looked at it hissing down this mourning and the same for tomorrow. Bet I'm not alone either?

do you always leave it a few days after the scratch coat then top coat? or straight on it next day?

Recipe for disaster Oasis, one of the biggest causes of problems with rendering.
I often work under a tarp, I've got some of those plastic clamps from B&Q they are ideal for fixing the tarp to the gutter and the scaffold tubes. Unfortunately today involved a gable end and it just seemed to difficult to cover. Roll on Wednesday.

Have you ever noticed how some people get lucky more often than others Spunky ;D ;D ;D

And I've just thought some people seem to get more bad luck than others don't they :D :D

I wonder why that would be?

I bet I can find the answer somewhere on this forum!!!!!!

You will have seen that as that's what most do.
Do you hear of many people having trouble with outsides? Strange that. Think back to those pictures posted a while back of that render falling of that garden wall.

Correct grades of sand for different coats and finishes:
Correct mix ratios on different substrates:
Knowing when to use certain admixtures:
and much much besides..

Like many aspects of plastering if they don't have the knowledge they can get themselves in a lot of bother.
I know of firms and individuals who have been bankrupt by things like rendering, floor screeding and skimming delaminating.
