Bonding& fibres.

Any one added fibres to bonding to give it a bit more strength?
Chopped of some old bonding today that appeared to have fibres in it..dusty stuff!
Gotta re do tomorrow, would adding fibres give it extra strength?

Never added fibres to it before but wouldnt it be an issue with them sticking up like it can when you screed with them? I have bonded a wall like that before in an old house no problem, could even screw some mesh sheets on if worried but obviously adds to the costs

It's a good compromise on haired lime , the fibres would secure the bonding staying latched onto the lathe
