Me and my friend put an ad in the liverpool echo last week. 3 line ad about £50:RpS_angry: alongside the other 4 other plasterers advertising in there. Claims to have 400,000 readership. Ad been in since thur and not ONE bloody call.

Lying bastards i cant believe you took it in mate, 400,000 people able to read in Liverpool hahahahaha thats the give away................ah well you live and learn but it was only £25 each, it could of been worse.
 
An ad will need to be there a few weeks/months before people will think about trusting you. I hope you are paying tax on all of this work you're doing lol
 
In my local there a few people who have advertised in it for the last 30 years so it works for them but trying to break in an expect a response, i dont think so this day and age, but worth a go it only takes one job and the recomadations and your of
 
The echo is a joke you'd be better of getting in your van and putting cards out.it's always works someone will phone put them in right areas! Try phoning old customers worth a call there's plenty out there .
 
Agree with Beddy. I've been advertising in the same paper for years. Some weeks i get 2-3 calls and some weeks 0. You really have to word the advert correctly. Make it attractive to the public and add stuff like all work guaranteed. And always put your landline in as well. Much more professional and it makes you look trustworthy/reliable.
