Best straight edge/Darby for external rendering?

Hi there all,

What do you find are the best sizes and straight edge for levelling sand cement render?

I find can't really go wrong with a 1200mm darby with the handles. Was looking at getting maybe a 1.8 or 2.5 straight edge maybe something like this

anyone use the 2.5m? had a 2.5 featheredge couldn't get on with it found it digs in

6ft is a good job. U should buy it.

I get on really well with a 6ft h style feather edge,I do have several sizes and use them all for different tasks:RpS_thumbup:

I was taught on a Darby with handles that's how I like it. Bit then I also love the benefit of a serrated edge but never got along with the "h" shape handle, my fingers are too long perhaps, then I got hold of a roger mondelin toothed edge with handles from CES hire

we have the lightweight featheredges, to leave the render open to set quicker i will rule off on the back edge.
