Bell cast and corner beads

Hi Guys,

I have rendered a few walls with S&C before with good results. For my next project, I will be using bell casts above DPC, but the problem is they protrude about 20/25mm from the wall, whereas the corner beads only protrude about 10mm.

Do the corner beads need to be protruding out as much as the bell casts ? If so, how can I achieve this? I could put them on top of the scratch coat, but the scratch coat is only 5mm thick.

Cut them a bit then gently bend out to meet the bell cast..........tadah.....

The bell beads are usually bigger so you can create a bell cast.
