Im about to re-plaster my spare rooms which has been badly plastered in the past. question is... do I need to put new beeding around the window recess?

yes, want to do it propely. have already removed all the blown plaster ready to put on some bonding on and then a skim. cheers for the advice

It has lifted above the window where the concrete lintel was, I am presuming it hasn't keyed well to it or they didn't use a pva strong enough? doesn't look damp in that area.

I expect they used browning as its not really suitable over concrete, bonding will stick without pva ,just needs to be lightly dampened

There is a white chalky substance about 10mm thick behind the plaster around the whole room. House was built in the 60's Ceiling hasn't been plastered they just painted the plasterboard!
