Bathroom with artex ceiling

HAve to price replastering all artex ceilings, knock 2 chimneys, painting and bathroom refit however when was in the bathroom taking pics, i couldnt believe what i seen. Ive never came across this ever. Theres probably a reason for it or the last owner of the property was off his fcuking head! Im going with the latter! A large ring of concrete around the base of the toilet. Anyone know what in the name of good fcuk why someone would do such a thing.

HAve priced for pulling all ceilings however i might just overboard if the joists are spaced properly because have seen some crazy spacing here in the west of ireland. Joists spaced 200 then next 350, next 700, next 550 and so on. f**k**g nightmare sorting all that so hopefully this job if i get it they are spaced 400 or 600 centers. Another saftey measure, if i do just over board, will cut out few holes first so can see whats above me because ive also seen pipes and cables just above the plasterboard here in the west.

Is right, the stuff i come across here is wild! Worst ive seen thou was a pic i posted early last year where the electrician drilled through a chimney, and somehow managed to feed his cable though it! Fcuking wild!

When im overboarding and trying to find joists I just take hammer to the ceiling then doesn't matter what the spacings are

Yeah going to do this on few of the ceilings plus I'll be able to see what's above in case there's any nice surprise's.
