doin a bit at the mo mate, depending on what system your using goes something like this, you will be working to insulation ,phenolic, fiberglass or expanded poly,3mm coat of scrim addhesive, lay scrim into first coat, trowel flat, let first coat pick up,another 3mm coat, flatten off,let it pick up again and sponge to a fine finnish.
Let dry for a day or two, prime, leave a day, then texture to pattern required, theres only three or four patterns, depending on grit size, apply the same as hibuild ie tight coat then float for pattern.
find out the system and pattern,i might be shed some more light.
Its straight forward work, suits plasterers more than renderers as its more like scimmin than thick coat render.hope
this helps.
