Hi, new to plastering and need help on skimming artex, the pattern is only lightly stippled so i was going to PVA once and let it dry then again and let it go tacky then skim with multi finish is this the right way to do it? and is it the right plaster or should i use board finish. Thanks

Thats the right everything, you shouldnt have too many probs doing it the way you have described. Multi finish rather than board but it dont make much diference, only thing i would recomend, try and get it as flat as you can before you skim, as no matter how flat it looks theres allways a bit of artex thats skicking out and it will show through. Other than that it seems you have it sorted.
