I have done some searching and the only stilts well recommended seems to be sur mags. Im not sure what model though. The only sur stilts I have found in the uk are on ebay, they are "sur s2". Does anyboby have these or tried them? I like the idea of the doublesided supports.
cheers Tom.

I use marshalltown 2.0. I used to have some ulka ones off eBay but they were too uncomfortable. The ones iv got now are bit heavy but they're super comfy and sturdy and never replaced anything on em in 5 years.:RpS_thumbsup:

Ha Ha, I dont like the look of that job lot deal artisan, "dead mans shoes". And that yellow dewalt pish will look all wrong with my makita gear!!

What you do will wearing stilts is ya own business marra.........just dont let the customer catch you and ya labourer at it...........:RpS_wink:

That job lot looks like it came out of the back of a b reg escort van with a smashed window.

Yeah stolen for sure, he says at the bottom that he's tested the whisks and they work........like why would he need to test them if they were his??

My thoughts exactly. Im on Hayling Island too.
As it happens, about 4 years ago I turned up at my parents house early morning to pick my brother up for work, his van was parked on the road with the back door wide open, as I pulled into the drive I just assumed he was in his van sorting the back out.
I was making us a cup of tea when he comes downstairs having just rolled outa bed, that's when I get that sinking feeling, realising whats happened. We run outside to find the 2 megamixers and a couple of other bits missing, and the damage to the van.
My mixer was the H handle style like the one in the listing, the other junk I dont recognise.

I don't know what im trying to say, or the point of that story, so sorry if ive wasted ya time!

It pisses me off to hear of plasterers gear getting stolen. It's worthless to the thief. Who wants to buy someone else's worn in hand tools? Imagine all of the old dead skin on them handles from years of work while scratching all manner of bodily crevices thru out the day. The best thing they'll steal is our mixers and they're still not much of an attractive investment after a few months of mixing up fine coat. Maybe 30-40 quids worth to the dirty thief.

Best advice for a thief is go pick on a carpenter

Here's a canny bargain for ya marra...........:RpS_thumbup:

The winning bids for that job lot of shite was £71 quid........:-0. then by some strange coincidence i seen this

Maybe there were two escort vans in the same street that got broke into and had identical gear in the back.............:RpS_unsure:
think its time to get Nailswater and bubbles on the bat phone sharpish.......:RpS_thumbup:
