The plasterboard is dot and dabbed and it's been taken your for some wires to go through? I thought of knocking out anothe 2inches either side for a new price of plaster board dot and dabbed over it so that the wired don't have plaster lead adhesive on them, is that the best way round it or would I be able to 1 coat it over the wires?

or you could wedge some stainless mesh in and bond and skim... that way you stand a chance getting cables out later...

you learn something new every day, when did this come about?[/
First time I come across no cap pings was more than ten year back, had a go with electrician and he told me he no longer needed too. I told him he's rough as f**k and later found out that he didn't need to use it.although every decent sparky still will

All the Sparks use them round here that's why I thaught it was a mandatory thing.:) It does p1ss me of when they don't bury them deep enough in chases though.
