Advice on holes in wall

Really want to try my hand at plastering. Thinking if it didn’t look great, I’ll just pay someone to re skim.

I pulled out some wardrobes and some of the wall come out. I was going to skim this wall, what can I use to fill this hole?

Am i okay to use multi finish plaster on this kind of wall? It’s lath and lime plaster by the looks of it

Knock it all off remove the laths and plasterboard it and skim it if it’s being used to attach more wardrobes to I wouldn’t even bother doing anything
