how and where do you all advertise and roughly how much do you spend a month on advertising ?

Right now i've put high quality ads in all one stops in my area + other stores on average 50p a week postcard size. I've advertised everywhere i can for free on the net + thompson + yellow pages. I give out good quality business cards whenever i get opportunity. But i've picked up all my business so far from doing high quality flyering door to door with A5 flyers designed and printed on my home computer, often i see people out in their gardens etc chat to them. Advertising doesn't have to be costly.

So this month i spent £25.
