doing this ext for a builder smooth extrnal finish done in concrete block except for 4 courses round the top which has been done in celcons
now the builder has clocked this an dropped a load of eml off to go over the celcons i was just goin to scud it with sbr whats your take on this not come across this before.
eml or sbr
cheers

Seeing as he's already got the EML, use both, and maybe break it with an expansion joint too:RpS_thumbup:

Might look daft, dunno.......

like bubbles said... the bloke thinks he knows better... if not, stick it up with gripfill or hammerfixings whatever... point is, if you make him look a c'nt your off the radar... just whack it up but splatter it first like you knows gonna help and crack on man.. :RpS_thumbup:

I'd put some building paper behind the EML which will give you the same lack of suction as the concrete blocks and by bringing the paper and EML well (150mm) over the join between the Celcons and concrete blocks will lessen the likelihood of a crack appearing on the finished face.

Nick if you used microbegetis on this job for mono would you have to do the concrete block aswell as the celcon would it dry different?
