Hi All,

Boarding out 2.6m walls any issues with running 2700mm boards and cutting down rather than 2400mm boards?

Never used them before. Just trying to work out and potential problems.

No problems. The way it should be done, miles quicker, and better job

Great, thanks, was concerned as lots of folks recommend laying board horizontally for strength but miles quicker vertically with large boards.

Didn't think about getting them in but would be room, good point!

I thought horizontal was to keep the paper edge across the studs for strength.

You're correct, but that was before 8x4's were used on studs where there is no raw edge spanning a timber
