Yes owls, no problem.
Do you reckon that you need to be more skilled to get a better job with Monocouche, then? opposed to a better job with sand & cement?
As I said before, its new to us.
cheers big k
sounds like we've a few good options then. no point splashing out until we see if we like it or not.
we can get sand and cement rendering spot on, so monocouche shouldn't really be a problem for us.
especially as you can come back the next day!
I've forgotten what the instructor said we should use to bed the mesh into for the first coat. is it rend-aid? weber pral for the main coat. Is it beads first, then lay a tight coat with the mesh and then the weber pral.
Its all new to us, so apologies for sounding a bit dense!
Can be done then...that's good news. It will still be easier than laying on sand & cement render and doing my wrists in. Good forum, I will use it a lot.
cheers
cheers for all the replies
would you just knock them all up in one go? and would 1x labourer and 1x plasterer be ok for a small bungalow? just trying to work out the best way off doing it.
Hello, new member on here.
Been plastering and rendering for 25+ years and recently went on a course to learn the basics of monocouche.
Found it quite simple and easier on the wrists but at the end, the instructor basically said that there is really no point in doing this type of rendering...
