See this a lot on sites in winter. The walls have had a good soaking so blocks are full of moisture. Doors and windows open for a few days will help but if it was my place I would remove boards and give it a few weeks to dry
Did a morning on one site, multi was shite. Drove to another site in the afternoon to do a hit and the multi there was totally different. Funny old stuff.
Skimming over boards that have been up ages is a nightmare. A good spread would spot they've been up a long time, they've got an I've been up ages look about them
I usually use trade point or wickes purely cos I find it quicker to get in and out. Plus most my work is on site so rarely buy materials. I only used this particular supplier cos it was close by. Next time I will rather drive across town than get shafted.
Just made me laugh when I told them average price for them was 2 quid they said they couldn't do them for that! I said every other supplier is! Won't be buying from them again.
Has anyone on here noticed huge price differences on materials from one merchant to the next?
I bought a 2.4 bead from Jewsons yesterday and with vat it was £2.06.
This morning went to another well known merchant and they charged a whopping £4.80!!!
I said it can't be right and what I paid day...
I've read that because the first rung of the home ownership ladder is out of reach now until your in your late 30s, there's no new customers coming through the doors to buy stuff for their homes. Most of the younger people rent now so they aren't buying diy materials.
