Cheers. Not done much of this for about 15 years and back then I’d always bang some EML on before starting, the mesh looks decent tho assuming I can bed it into the scratch coat
Hi, got to s&c render a wall where wall starters have been used to tie new block work into existing brick, so there’s a vertical mortar join all the way down. Also gotta float the other side of the same wall with bonding which has the same join. Was planning on using some of that plastic/fibre...
Thanks guys yeah I’ve got stainless ones, seen the screwfix ones but gone for the 13mm stainless stop beads, that’s gotta be what people normally use? Was just worried it would make my coats too thin but say 7mm scratch 6mm top I should be ok? Cheers again
Hi
Sorry probably a silly question but I’ve got a small area to render, done a few bits before but only with angle beads never needed a stop bead. Need a stop bead to go up the wall for this one (goes from block to brick), now I’m planning on going about 20mm thick 2 coat S&C, but I’ve come...
I only do it to avoid seeing board join shadows after its been painted, occasionally had an issue with it, maybe it's something else I'm doing wrong tho :ROFLMAO:

Cheers never used one-coat as heard it doesn't trowel up nice like board/multi but could give it a go  any tips for getting a good finish with it, think I remember being told you have to sponge it and trowel the fat but I may have just made that up
