You can't stick it with plasterboard adhesive as it won't stick. You could level it with dab then screw through each dab with screw and washer but that's alot of time and effort to save a small amount of money. The customers paying so what does it matter
Its very quick for a full house and not labour intensive. Couple of days to prep it all tape up windows, tape and bead, then a few days to spray it all.
It'll never catch on though, expensive machine, and only good for empty houses

To board and skim that is a days work for a plasterer. You're probably going to pay almost the same labour to get it plastered as you would to get them to board and plaster it
