    Thanks to everyones help, i think ill put liquid DPM on wall, then render then skim. hope that hold damp back., whats the best time to leave render befour skim, 1,2 days? Thanks.

    the reson i though of board was that if the wall and floor was treated with a liquid DPM (preventing damp coming out of wall/ floor) then board adhesive on wall then board, that the damp couldnt get through adhesive to the board as the liquid dpm would stop that.     no. If i want external i cut external (try to) or internal i cut internal... its just some joints are working others arnt.. just wondered if some one has any tips for getting it right.

    Hi, new to plastering, im not a plasterer but would sometime go into it, i can do it and done alot...anyway got a ceiling to do, 9m2 8ft high. Was wondering what the best way to access it, i dont have stilts, should i use steps? 2 tressles and plank? or.... any other sugestions? any advise...

    plastering ceiling

    Thing is i dont really want to rip entire celing down, as the dip has been there since 1970s, and not got worse so seems sound, just the dip part affecting the look of the plaster. Was thinking of screwing the boards to give them more chance of holding plaster weight, all be it not much weight...

    Hi, new to plastering and need help on skimming artex, the pattern is only lightly stippled so i was going to PVA once and let it dry then again and let it go tacky then skim with multi finish is this the right way to do it? and is it the right plaster or should i use board finish. Thanks
