    Thanks for that , In what way is it different I take it id need to render it or even remove the lats and put board up? Are there any local plasterers to me Gosforth / newcastle ! Whod be willing to do the job an have someone watching over the shoulder and asking questions ?

    Ive been on a course and can plaster a boarded ceiling no problems (done quite a few) but never came accross this latted stuff before was hoping for some usefull info ! Dont worry I wont nick your jobs !!!

    I need to plaster my mums house , the ceiling in the attic is coming down , its a lattice ceiling (not plasterboard) and is at 45 degrees to a higher ceiling and is curved at this point. Any ideas how to go about this one.

    If i wanted to dress it id have left the wood in there ;) . I need to skim it , thinking about cutting serrated edge into existing plaster and blending into it, anyone else got any tips?

    Ive just knocked down a built in wardrobe in my sons room , this has left the bare boarded ceiling area (3 inch wide and 6 foot long) with old scrim hanging (that horrible string type stuff). Whats the best way to blend in the area i need to skim? Seems one side is pretty thick and one not so :(.
