hi there zolco, when you say its a collomix with a metabo badge, are the innards/motor exactly the same?? do you know?

The collomix and the metabo use the same batteries, the bodies are very similar but not identical, does anyone know if the actual motors are the same? the no load speeds are different but that could just be one company turning the power down to aid longevity. any thoughts?

lay on, flatten out with ST, clean your edges, lay on, flatten out with SF lightly, then straight to plastic once it's pulled in for two passes or one pass if you use a second SF pass, then a dry trowel or (dry SF) at the end to close up as usual. I tend to only use the speedskims if I'm trying...

Have you tried using the st for the 1st coat and the sf for the 2nd? the metal strip really stops the dragging of potential grit.

I tend to use it for large sets, rounds in a loft and rolling sets to keep ahead of the setting time
