Before - botch job - fixed - final result. Spoke to the original “plasterer” today and he was honest enough say he made a mistake and didn’t want payment. So overall it’s worked out ok.

Given the state the other guys left the ceiling in, this is obviously a compromise, rather than taking the whole thing down. I think the ceiling looks great personally so it’s a good job I’m the one living with it and not you then. Would you prefer a client that told you what they wanted or one...

Talking about painted work. Here’s a few pics of the ceiling in the hallway where they did remove the paper. Decorator spent half a day trying to correct it. Been recommended Easi Filler as it can be sanded very thin. Any other thoughts?

The building management firm have had an extensive asbestos survey of the building and sent me the report. Also they confirmed it’s the same material across all the ceilings and there is 100% no asbestos in the ceilings. Got a quote of £2k to take it down and re-board and skim it! Looks like...

Firstly it’s from the 30’s. Received the building asbestos survey today and have had it confirmed there is 100% no asbestos in the ceilings. Only places in the building are behind a few fuse boxes.
