The goldtrowel courses are great! It is my last week of the 6 week course I did. I have learnt so much and an confident in becoming a good solid plasterer. Worth every penny if you ask me

My point (me maybe taking it out of context) was that for people like me (adult learners) apprenticeships just wouldnt work! Companies dont seem to give apprenticeships to people over 19 and even if they did I doubt any sane person would work for 100 a week or whatever it is for the duration...
I understand your point. But for an adult learner it isnt really feasable to get an apprenticeship (even one which isnt properly govened etc..etc..) I dont think going off with a tradesman to learn is a good way to learn on the job either. Too many cowboys out there cutting corners these days...
Disagree with you there Spunky. Id be quietly confident of doing someones house, but i'll be playing it safe and doing my own house and a few family/friends errands!

Im currently doing the 6 week course with Goldtrowel. Having never before plastered I feel i have come a long way since starting 4 weeks ago. Apprenticeships are a good way to get into the trade but you have to understand for older learners is isnt as easy! So this is a better route for me...
