My opinion is my opinion same as yours, I can say what a like. It's an odd thing to do when you think about it. Expressing opinions on a forum I mean. Why do we do it? I achieve nothing, I don't think it makes you feel any better. If anything the replies just wind you up. The more contentious the issue, the less point there is in expressing opinions on it as far as I can see.

The work or isolate 'debate' is a perfect example. I'm not working because I don't have to, if I did have to I would and unless there's a way you can stack opinions to form a barrier I wouldn't give a monkey's what people thought. But they would tell me anyway, even though it would make no difference.

Humans are odd creatures aren't we?

It's fine to have an opinion and explain the reasons for doing what you do.
What is not helpful is folks telling others what they should be doing.

If you like to share strangers misery that is fine but don't then share it with others.
I am happy for you to share other people's good news or lottery winnings though.

There's nothing wrong with it, it's just a pointless exercise. If you have a look through every thread where there are differences of opinions or arguments you'll see they all have one thing in common. No one no matter how compelling their argument has changed anyone else's views or opinions.

This forum is at it's best when it's used for banter and passing on factual information. As soon as things move away from verifiable fact and into opinion or anecdotes it's just ranting at the clouds.

My opinions and ideas are changed by listening and seeking others views otherwise my tape would have been going to market with unsuitable adhesive.

That's not an opinion though is it? "Your tape doesn't stick well." is a factual report on a field test.
