Little repair I threw myself into.. was thinking of pipe collar but it's on the joint so that's a no go as they come in 5 inch.. so was thinking just throw some sand and cement in but what stones are used and also the bottom bit would still be showing any other ways??

I think he refers to if they would have used a diamond core drill then there wouldn't be this mess

Would just make it as close as possible with the dash, I wouldn't be concerned about the type of stones used as it will get painted anyway, where the facing bricks I'd just knock up some muck with cement dye to get a near enough match with the colour of the brick. Then paint the dash and put some quality silicone around the pipe

I would get some ready to mix wet dash and cut an engineering brick to that shape of border only a suggestion

20mm stone I'm guessing. Looks like pea shingle but bigger

Patch it and gun over with tyro lean gun just have your mix on stiff side. I've patched a few where stuffs been altered etc and it's heavily painted roughcast

Just remember to brush some of this around the piecing
