Hello There

I was just wondering if there is anybody out there that uses a Putzmeister MP-25. I am just starting out as a artifical rock sculptor and wanted to know if anybody could show me the basics of this machine, I have used it before, but want to know it inside out. I am happy to give a days labour in return. I am based in the north of england, but would be willing to travel anywhere in the uk

Contact me on [email protected]

Thanks

Chris

Hey!
Well I started off in the climbing wall industry...using shotcrete for boulders outside.......after 6 years doing that, and feeling like my hands are going to fall off, I thought id get involved my artifical rocks using cement plaster, much better to carve, unbelievable results, and easy on my skinny wrists...hahaha done a few jobs abroad, egypt, and Turkey.
The guy i was working with knew everything about the Mp25, all I did was carve......now Hes gone back to Dubai, and I have a job in Scotland......I know the basics of the machine, Ive used it twice, but the last job I did i felt i just blagged it, but it would be great to feel comfortable with the machine......and basically just have it set up right, with the material we are using, with no weird noises....
I am hopefully going to get a website on the go soon. Where are you based Mickey boy?

MR Jowett.
Have a look at the wall crete section in this forum. They have a product that is printed with rubber mats that have been moulded of real rocks. They use lumps of polystyrene to form the rocks and boulders and lay stuff over it to for the shape

I,m sure if the guy had some one to spray it he will be happy ,be mad to buy a machine , as we know they are not switch on and go .

Do you own a MP25 Mickey boy?

If not then there are equivalents like the PFT G4. There are quite a few PFT owners on here, me included. From what I have seen there is not much difference between the MP25 and G4. There are plenty of PFT G4 vids on youtube on set up and use.

thanks everyone for the replies
I am currently working with a company doing the artifical rocks and such, they get big contracts in....and there own spray machine(mp-25) when I get a website up and running I will (fingers crossed) be able to do much more of my own projects, so would need a sprayer, so I can concentrate on carving.....but if its smaller projects its most likely a one man job...but like everything. it is a giant leap of faith whether there is work out there regarding this specialist field...but nothing ventured nothing gained...the Yanks love this sort of thing.
