Problem with thistle dri coat

did a job last Nov in a old property upstairs in thistle dri coat as client requested it ,, put it all on , let it dry out fully,, skimmed up no probs... Had a phone call saying that it all cracking been and had a look and there's hairline cracks all over the place.. Any ideas why??

What was the condition of the brick work like ?

It was a old property but brickwork wasn't to bad,, brushed it and pvaed it watered down

Is the plaster hollow or just cracked?

No mate rock hard just hairline cracks everywhere

I thought thistle dri coat was for use after dpc installation? I think there's your reason ?

Sounds like Shrinkage then mate.
I'd easi fill and rub down or skim over what's there if it's all over. Use some uni finish if painted.
Dri coat is similar to renovating plaster and although best after dpc injection can be used on external walls.
Did you use multi or board? Board is better with this.

Yeah used board finish,, gonna give British gypsum a ring and see what they say
