Plasterer needed North London

Hi, we have a couple of large rooms which need plastering, including over an artex ceiling.
The walls are mainly 1970s plasterboard so have a quite rough finish. Our previous plasterer used a specialist bond on them to get around that in a couple of the other rooms. There are also some walls with new soundproof boards.
Unfortunately our plasterer is now away so we're looking for somebody who would be able to step in to do these 2 rooms, as soon as possible. Our previous plasterer had a lot of experience and we're looking for someone similar.

in between big projects, three houses in forest hill to finish ,waiting on doors and windows shipped in from poland, two big jobs to start in clapham area and four flats in east dulwich, some small jobs too, just awaiting the nod. the all start at the same time I bet

Wow Russ you were on in march last year for a day saying you wouldn't work for nothing now here you are again poppin up out if nowhere working for peanuts if what we are lead to believe happens darn saaaaaf.
 
I know mate it is terrible out there at the moment ,they don't want to pay the right money at the moment

And less, its a loosely used term these days, I can plaster can mean anything , skim coat a little wall, or to be able to do everything internal, external ,walls floors ceiling, corniche,modern renders etc

True, but saying I will work cheaply is not a help to anyone, I wondered if anyone on here did this job, been £90 a day cheaper than me puts me in a odd position but luckily I am working..
 
True John youre obviously a good and wise spread who has made good contacts over the years and keeps busy but in London Id of thought there would be plenty of work to go round

It ebbs and flows, luckily I have some good contacts again now, had down time in 09 ,refused work at low rates,they took cheaper options but came back to me, we gave been lucky because our employers are doing high end ,refurbs where £750 k plus is been spent and the can't risk the gumtree tradesmen.
