Overboard or Unibond

Hi Folks,

I recently removed some ceiling wallpaper and coving ready for a skim coat.

My plaster looked at the ceiling and said he couldn't plaster it because it had been coated "back in the day" and would need to either unibond it or overboard otherwise the plaster could fall off.

Does anyone have any views on this - pros and cons of overboarding vs unibonding?

First thing is find yourself a decent plasterer. Second accept advice and quote from said plasterer.
