Marmox board

I have a couple of rooms on a new build I’m Plastering that have marmox board fixed in the bathroom and an ensuite.
The client wants them skimmed and a couple of feature walls in either Venetian or micro-cement.
I’ve never gone over marmox before personally so do you have any tips please?
Same for micro or Venetian applications over marmox.

Are they tiling? If so they could tile straight over otherwise I'd pre grit but I have no idea re Venetian

No, no tile jess. He wants either micro or Venetian instead of tile.

Venetian has to go over skim. It would be too thin to go directly onto the boards and wouldn't get over a scrim tape. Iv'e not skimmed marmox personally but I've put Venetian on top after someone else has skimmed first so I don' know if they went directly on or grit primed first. If your not sure then to be on the safe side I would green grit first and skim. Then Venetian or micro cement will go over fine. Hive me a shout if you need anything clearing up any further

Just put some decent tile adhesive as basecoat on it, mesh the joints too then just skim the rest up to it then you cover it with whatever
