I coat with 18" supaflex.....unbelievable once its broke in to your style.

Stainless for me chaps seem to last longer had carbon in the past had an awesome 18" MT sharp as a razor but it got broke when an Albanian ran over it with a G4 handle snapped off i was gutted

He apologised and bought me a new trowel but was an awful early German one as couldnt buy MTs in Germany back then.

he took pity on him because of his white hair ,red eyes and not being able to go out side in strong sun light.

Only ever had stainless, no problems to report..or rust.

I use the same trowel for dashing, render and skimming so it doesn't take long til it's nicely broken in.

Might give carbon a bash in the future.

Do the carbons rust? don't think I've ever had one.
I've had alot of trowels and tbh they don't last long as I don't really give a s**t about them.
Must say I generally just stick to my Nela premium at the moment cos it's the one I have but that won't last long as I was bashing hard snots of the floor with it today lol.

Just got a perma ss today the carbons wear in nice Guna try the stainless steel when I get some work in haha

I dont like the perma shape style i prefer the Extra lites ttake longer to break in but worth it

My first trowel was a permashape... dont really see the point... I can use whatever
