Hardwall over old skim

My plasterer removed blown skim and hardwalled over the whole room ( including previous sound skim). He hasnt skimmed yet. Is this ok to do?

Joking aside . Your tape looks like it would work . But to be competitive it would need to have 50m on a roll and slightly wider for internal angles . I would definitely trial it

It will be wider, and will have smaller holes, have used it before and will be doing this one this week.

It should work, it will literally stick the plasterboard edges together and the holes should allow for movement without splitting the tape.
