front door step

needs some ideas for making one look good its a concrete step at the front of the was thinkin tiling it but might look naff just open to any ideas loads of room at the front face an about 12mm on top thanks

Get half a dozen glass bottles of various colours and crush them up. Break them into chunks, then put the chunks between a couple of concrete blocks and use them as a grinder. Or, put them in a strong sack and batter them. Or.... etc.

Give the step a 10mm coat of strong mortar and when it's flashing off put the glass in and float it two or three times. Sparkly loveliness will follow.

Alternatively, get yourself some brick tints and free your creative side.
