what thickness board and how many layers?
I was always told a single layer of 12.5mm fire line was an hour. Normal board is half an hour which is why we used to double board?
**** knows. Its all pink once its skimmed. Plus of youre still in the house by the time the fire affects any steelwork chances are you're dead anyway
@Olican According to our last building control officer he reckoned 2 layers of 12.5mm fireline for an hour rated ceiling.
No it's not Ray,we had to treble board some ,treble boarded walls with fireboard too as specunusual to double board a ceiling.
unusual to double board a ceiling.
Or a normal board skimmed compared to a fire board un skimmed.2 normal boards have the same rating as 1 fireline.
Different makes have different ratings, surveyors interpret it differently best to have a specyeah your right, the plaster adds to the rating, spose the spec/ratings are different depending if it's plastered or tapered and jointed.
BG used to send you out their white book if you contacted them, handy to have in the van.
