    Thinking of getting Diall Fine finish Ready mixed Finishing plaster. Would I need to PVA the current plaster or is it ok to put it straight on?

    Thanks for your reply mate, I am really short on money and can't really afford to get someone in within the next 2 months. I'd be happy to sand it down (which defeats the purpose of skimming but I learnt the hard way) as long as the paint won't start flaking/peeling off providing it is dry enough?

    With a trowel first then with a wet brush/trowel to smooth it out as it was getting dry too quickly. Any reason half the room is darker?
