    Having nvq level three is a put off to some big companies I have found due to company policy and having to pay a larger hourly rate. I've experienced it a few times and that's what they told me. others like it. weird city lol.

    I did some work up your end a few months ago and I had some fat on my trowel and I said just put some fat in it. The guy laughed at me and said we don't call it fat up here its gravy. just wondered if he was having me on ;).

    I read online it recommends not to use pva but I don't know I just popes in search engine at work and got a pdf technical data sheet ill try and find it tomoz and forward it on if I can work out how to do it ;). It said SBR or EVA.

    I have lots of good ideas but I won't give gypsum them for free ;) so can I have a job too please :). and I fully agree I would love a bag of magnetic plaster also because I would love to try it but can't afford it. I think uni finish is a good idea but I'd sooner prep up with pva for big jobs...

    SBR or EVA I think mate it says on net good sir. Can you use the limelite easy bond? don't know if it helped much.

    Because you are wearing leather gimp gloves!! apart from that it's hard to produce excellent standards when the material is so sporadic . We still do but maybe it would be easier if the products were more consistent! However it does provide a positive challenge and I like to adapt and overcome.

    I usually give the joints and beads I'm working on a coat then just put scratch over the top just to know I did it right then I'm off to Bermuda whilst my arm does the work in robot mode ✈.

    white and dusty residue sounds like efflorescence. Might need some salt inhibitor? slurry mix painted on the brickwork once you have removed the mould from the bricks, wire Brush/sugar soap will do it. salt inhibitor and/SBR 25:1 for mixing water mixing the render to 2:1 for first coat then same...

    We used it at an old Hall in an old barn which was being converted into an electric station. All the walls needed to be a within a millimetre but they were like a snakes belly!! 3 days dubbing out and it was done. plumb and dot came in handy on that one.
