My plumber went and blew the back off my new rendered wall. Its Weberpral M in chalk. Is this an easy fix? its about 30 x 30mm minus the core.

hi my closest ceiling joist to the wall is 100mm is it ok to 'float ' the board (12.5mm) that far? If not what's the normal maximum for an unsupported edge? Thanks

Discussed with my renderer about having a monocouche render on my house and having received samples from K-rend told him I liked the silicone FT range. He said thats fine but its not a monocouche render? Now i'm i little confused as i thought it was. He recommended to Weberpral M range...

Oh so I can't just run 2700 boards upright along the length of the room?

Great, thanks, was concerned as lots of folks recommend laying board horizontally for strength but miles quicker vertically with large boards. Didn't think about getting them in but would be room, good point!

Hi All, Boarding out 2.6m walls any issues with running 2700mm boards and cutting down rather than 2400mm boards? Never used them before. Just trying to work out and potential problems.

currently celotexing an oak ridged hipped roof. Got to thinking how the hell am I going to plaster board this thing!? I can run the boards up the rafters into the hip but when the rafter runs out it will be largely unsupported. I've run a few battens up where I can but is there a rule of thumb...

I've got some spare 4x2 lying around if I rip it in half would 2x2 work? (50mm x 50mm in new money!) Just discovered it's not level across the join so going to have to pack out the studs anyway.
